Steered by a vineyard rental system by Jean-Claude Berrouet (Chateau Petrus winemaker), Chateau Guillou was bought in 2002 by the SABY family, also owner of Chateaux Saint-Andre Corbin (St-Georges-St-Emilion), Rozier (St-Emilion Grand Cru) and Hauchat (Fronsac). This estate enjoys an exceptional geographical situation,
on the former city of Saint Georges. Further to excavations, the historians think that the Ausone villa was located on the estate. Diane Chasseresse’s statue exhibited at the Louvre was found there.
