|The terraces of Tupungato are located 80 kilometres south-west of the city of Mendoza, at an elevation of 1200 meters above sea level. At this altitude in the Tupungato valley the cool breeze from the Andes Mountains creates a special microclimate for the cultivation of Chardonnay.
|Terrazas de los Andes was named by Wine Spectator as ”One of the 20 worldwide wineries which year after year delivers consistent high quality wines.” The vineyards are in the foothills of the Andes, where each varietal is grown at the ideal altitude for optimal development. The pre-phylloxera vines are irrigated with snowmelt from the Andes.
