Wine Advocate 90 points - Another outstanding effort, the 2012 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict Vineyard and plenty of caramelized sweet berry fruits, violet and spice characteristics to go with a medium-bodied, elegant and seamless style on the palate. While I love its overall silkiness and purity, it’s still relatively mid-weight and fleeting, so plan on drinking bottles over the coming 3-4 years. It was completely destemmed and aged 15 months in 50% new French oak.
Wine Spectator 88 points - Features ripe plum, black cherry and raspberry flavors shaded by fresh earth and crushed rock accents. Turns dry and ends on a more restrained note. Patience is required. Best from 2015 through 2023. 762 cases made.-JL
