Wine Advocate 90 points - An outstanding effort, the 2012 Pinot Noir La Rinconada Vineyard has more spice, pepper, crushed rock and dark fruit to go with a pretty, elegant and lightly textured style on the palate. While it’s slightly mid-weight through the middle, it has a great texture and fine tannin on the finish. Mostly destemmed and aged 15 months in 50% new French oak, from several hillside blocks in the vineyard, drink it over the coming 3-5 years.
Wine Spectator 87 points - Offers a core of cola, sage and cedar notes. Edgy, raw tannins provide rustic texture and bite on the finish. Drink now. 1,036 cases made.-JL
