Traditionally aged in #4 Charred Barrels, our Batchers’ Bourbon Whiskey displays a beautiful amber color and releases wonderful vanilla and butterscotch notes. It has a smooth, balanced taste with a slightly peppery finish. Our mash bill is 75% corn, 23% rye, and 2% barley. Our two-step barreling process, which includes aging in 8-year cooperage, creates a complex yet smooth sipping spirit that also mixes extremely well with cocktails like Old-Fashioned’s.

Hi, we’re Jack and David Baker (left & right). We grew up in the water bottling business; for three generations, our family has been bringing you the crisp, clear water called Crystal Rock.
And grow up, we did. With a taste for good drink, and the good luck to live in this gorgeous corner of the country called Connecticut, we decided to launch Litchfield Distillery.
Our commitment is to batch the finest spirits from the best our local farmers have to offer. And the first taste of that commitment is our Batchers’ series of spirits: a crisp gin, a smooth bourbon whiskey and our flagship 8-year double barreled bourbon whiskey.
All brought to life with the expert skill of our head distiller, James McCoy (center). With a Masters degree in distilling and brewing from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, his expertise can be found, and appreciated, in every drop.
