Vinous 90 points - (75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay; 11 g/l dosage; disgorged in June, 2014): Pale onion skin color. Pungent, mineral-accented aromas of dried pear, cherry pit and succulent herbs, with a subtle floral nuance in the background. Smoky and broad in the mouth, offering bitter pear skin and quinine flavors and a hint of earthy rhubarb. Shows more sweetness on the clinging, toasty finish, which features notes of tangerine and candied rose.
